[FSX P3D] Taxi2Gate - Paris - Charles De Gaulle LFPG - RIP Skidrow Reloaded [March-2022]

- no virs FUCKYTES - AFAIK - the only New Orleans (and bayou music) group that's been around longer than Kickstand. Actually they're from New Orleans too, just moved to CA about 15 years ago. The first time I heard them they were called "Kickstand" I think. Then they changed their name when Skid Row started using the name "Living Colour" - didn't care for that either but oh well. They're incredible musicians. They started out (where?) as a breakdancing group in the eighties, then they did rap rock and then a totally different style in the early nineties (with 2 or 3 of the original 8 or 9 members doing the rap vocals on their early albums). But they've never gotten over that mistake and since "uprising" album (obviously being short of that keyword) they've been trying to be the next big rap group. They're similar in style to N.W.A. but on a slightly higher level - as in same genre, not "rap" but "hip-hop" similar. The last couple of albums have been basically filler to get them up to the point of having a "hit" though. I guess because of that they've been out of the media spotlight for a while. I've seen them live a few times and have seen them on "Sons of Anarchy" a couple of times, as it looks like they're going to be in at least a couple of episodes this season. Saw them in Vancouver a couple of years ago for the first time since well, I guess since 1994 - they were a bit older than I remembered them but they still played great. They're still fantastic - they've obviously been working on their stage show too. They're about 8 or 10 musicians now. It was pretty awesome seeing them on stage last time - they looked like a kickboxing version of N.W.A. and they were having a good time. Between "chi-chi-checker" and "paris" their latest releases, I hope they make a new album sometime soon. Hit this thread again after seeing them again in Vancouver, in a hotel down the street from the venue. Yeah, you can get there by walking, I believe. I think this is one of their first LA dates. There
